A friend has offered me his Xpan (version 1) without the lenses, the price he is asking is $1000. Is this a decent price, in your opinion?

without the 45mm lens? I would try to get the standard lens.
What is his doing with the lenses??
If you can get a lens for about $200-300 it would be a deal...
I think I paid about $1500 (w/ 45mm lens and super low use) about 2 years ago... check with KEH.com to see what a 45mm xpan lens will cost... their prices are a bit high but you get really, really good equipment in pristine shape.

A great camera

The lenses were stolen, and all that was left was the camera. Thank you for the tip about Keh, I will check them out.

i've been watching xpan auctions on ebay with a close eye
depending on the condition, $1000 is probably a very good price, keh has the 45mm for a reasonable price
very good condition models usually go for $1800 and up edit: with the lens

seems like all xpan's weren't painted well; that or they were abused and have all kinds paintloss. some people like that on their rf's but not me.

FA - its because the body is titanium which is notorious for paint loss, even from light rubbing in a camera bag.

Seems like an OK price, although id have expected a 45mm with that. Its a fantastic camera though and I love mine (even with the paint loss). will upload some photos asap too as I'm a new member.

Igor at IgorCamera ususally has some, he likes them, got mine from him. i would email him to see what he can turn up in the lens category.

Regards, John
