Indeed, the most meager image size of any forum I have ever been on. It won't kill your bandwidth to increase the limit to 100KB, which is still minute. This is a photography forum, but we are forced to visually represent ourselves using horribly degraded images. Please reconsider!

you make a good point.

Same issue with the gallery, and photos in the classifieds. The file size you're allowed is a bit of a joke compared to most other sites.

I've never bothered with an avatar, but I absolutely could not figure out how to get my file sizes small enough to even post in the gallery. I guess I'm not worthy..

Loose the Marantz and those scratchy records.

Ha! I actually did lose the Marantz...only to upgrade to the 2250, this time in a handsome wooden case. What can I say, the seventies were the decade of my youth. I finally have the stereo I wanted in high school. You should see my bright orange JBL Centurys.

You guys think you have problems? I can't even use a photo of my own for an avatar and am stuck with others that I can't change. Never happened before...what am I doing wrong?

Felt that way when I got an R4s -- finally got the camera I wanted in college. There should be a name for this: Eventual Gear Acquisition, or Generational Equipment Lust.

Always thought of the Avatar as a haiku. An exercise in minimalism. Of course, I have no Avatar as I have no haiku kung fu.
