I've never been to New York, but it was more alive than any city I've ever visited.... Anyway I spent about 12 hours in the city and visited a friend who is a teacher in privately funded school for high achievers in Harlem and then explored all the way to the financial district in Manhattan... A lot of walking. Anyway here are my picks from 2.5 rolls of good ole Tmax shot through a 50 DR summicron with my M6 TTL. I m still getting used to the metering pattern on this camera. Any feedback would be nice!

There is so much i like about this post; the privately funded high achiever school in Harlem, the disparate areas of the city, and those vintage looking photos.

Not so new now.
I like them.
I'm so relieved to see photos with smiling people, up close. I feel like I walked a bit with you.

Very nice set, especially those with people, e.g., 1, 2, 4 and the last image. Great mood and tones in central park trail, too. You captured some wonderful moments. Isn't NYC a great place to wander with a camera (or two)?

I have no fear carrying a camera in public... I know Leicas are not the cheapest cameras on earth, but the VAST majority of people have no clue what a Leica is. In fact, most people think its some vintage piece of junk. Which is fine by me.
New York is a fantastic place for street photography. There are photos literally walking down the street.
