120/ 220 switch

I wrote about a week ago stating that, after puchasing the Bronica RF, I had left the 120/ 220 switch in an intermediate position. My first set of 120 film with the switch set in the intermediate position looks excellent. The second set of 120 film, with the switch set in the correct position looks good, but perhaps not quite as good as the first.
What is going on? I bought the camera second hand. The switch had been left in the intermediate position by the previous owner. I wonder whether he or she had experimented and found that an intermediate position produced higher quality results than the correct position. Does anyone have any equivalent experience?

I have had no experiences like that. Mine seems to work perfectly with 120 set in the 120 position. I do have trouble shooting 220, though. I get strange spots that look like light leaks on my negs.

Not quite so good in what way? Its only moving the film slightly forwards and backwards relative to the focal plane, so it should only affect image sharpness.

The issue is about image sharpness. The second set of images is a little less sharp than the first. The difference is not great and it could be a "one-off". I do not know the answer. The switch is currently set full to the 120 position. When I have used this film, I will set the switch back to the intermediate position, take another set of images and again compare the results. It would nevertheless be helpful to know if anyone else had a similar experience or has experimented with putting the 120/ 220 switch into an intermediate position.
