120 Day

127 day is coming next week! To be honest I didn't get it at first because we use the little-endian date format in the UK not middle-endian as in the US.

Hi guys,

Here are a couple of shots taken especially following you advice (plus I had to finish that roll in the Bronica RF645) :

Yeah, who knew. Apparently we will soon need a Film Format Day sub-forum. 😛

Here are the ones I know of:

World Photography Day: the celebration of when Louis Daguerre gave his patent for photography to the world (in exchange for a pension from the French government)

World Wide Pinhole Day: Last Sunday in April (4-30-17)

Nature Photography Day: 6-15-17

World Toy Camera Day: 3rd Saturday in October (can vary)

Argust Day: Shoot your Argus camera (any format, including the in-name-only cameras made after the company ceased production and sold off the brand) on the day in August that corresponds to the last two digits of the year (ie: this year is 8-17-17)

120 Day: (2 days) 120 film (any format) on Jan 20th, and on the 120th day of the year (4-30-17)

127 Day: (2 days) 127 film on Jan 27th, and on the 127th day of the year (5-7-17)

135 Day: 35mm film on the 135th day of the year (5-15-17)

620 Day: Roll your own on June 20th

More can be found at: https://www.daysoftheyear.com/ with a search on "Photography"

BTW, today Friday 27th is National Geographic Day, and Chocolate Cake Day!

Thanks farlymac. Again, who knew? 😛

I will try to remember Argust Day. I recently acquired an Argus Autronic 35 which seems to be working. I have yet to put film through it though.

Oh, those things will break your heart. Get a C-44 with the 35mm and 100mm lenses.

I sure don't expect miracles from it, but just want to try it. Also the side mounted flash that came with it. Assuming I can get a 22 (1/2?) battery. I also have a C3, but I don't recall ever putting film through it, or the one I had before our house fire.

Some things you try maybe once, and some not at all. 😛 Argus C series cameras are some that I just can't see to bond with.
