120-year-old secret Sydney snapshots go on show.

Sunny sixteen is the same everywhere, barely one stop less even if you cross the polar circle. Legs and cartwheels look like exposures somewhere around 1/4-1/8s, which is feasible with then current film (around ISO 1) and "landscape" lenses (not faster than f/6.8).
 
Keith, I can always count on you to bring up some great vintage photos. The bicycle race photos you posted years ago remain my favorites, blur and all! These are very cool without the blur!
 
That is really neat, and very interesting photos!

My favorite part is the description where it notes that at the time the advent of portable, handheld cameras caused a public debate over privacy... fascinating to see that so little has changed in 130 years 😀
