I've been shooting some of my 126 film cameras, with reloaded 126 cartridges. Here are a couple of the cameras and images.

Those look extremely good. They are much better than my Instamatic 104. If you feel like it show us how you load the cassette.

Nicely done Derek. I too would love to see how you load the cassettes.

Again excellent! Can't wait for the loading, but only if you want to do it.

Really too bad 35mm film without the perfs is now hard to come by. Would sure make 126 and 828 reloading easier.

No idea about the company supplying it but it looks like a kit is available for loading your own 126 cartridges:
https://www.camerhack.it/product/fakmatic-126-film-cartridge/
Presumably there's an issue with the large number of sprocket holes on 35 mm film and the mechanisms of some 126 cameras, which it looks like you can solve by taking a few pictures with the lens cap on.

That's what I do. I take the first image, then cock the shutter.
Take a blank, hand over the lens, and then I'm ready for the second image.
I do use old 126 cartridges, but I have been using the Fakmatic lately.

Neat cameras and great images! I didn't know that Ricoh made such a camera.
I had a Minolta Autopak 600, which was a great 126 camera. It had focusing in four zones, a coated glass Tessar-type lens, and auto-exposure. It was my first experience shooting slides.
I still have my mother's old Zeiss Ikon Contaflex 126. We had the shutter overhauled once, then it went out again later and was never repaired. Unfortunately, the camera has the simpler 3-element Color Pantar lens. The old Contaflex is still lovely to look at and fondle, however.

AGFA ASP 400S 35mm unperforated film is available in 45.75m (150 ft) bulk rolls from Macodirect in Germany at €59. It's the same as Aviphot Pan 400 S, it has high IR sensitivity and fine grain. I have not tried it myself as I have no 126 cameras.

Derek, that's the one! Thanks for posting the pictures.
Does yours still work?
I still have the original ever-ready case and instructions for the one in my possession - all in lovely condition. My dad bought it for my mom in 1968.

"Yes" it still works. The meter is iffy though. To bad it was depended on the meter for the aperture setting.

That 126 Rollei is too cool!!!!
Suddenly I find myself scouring Ebay looking for one, to keep my 120, 127 and 35mm Rolleis company. One can never have too many!

Here are a few photos of the loading of the 126 cartridge and the Fakmatic.
Of course this is done in the dark, but I think you get the idea.
Tape up the windows for the light leaks, and the back of the cameras 126 frame counter window.

So then you just blank shoot a shot between every open image?

"Yes" you can keep shooting, but your images will overlap.
I tend to get 14 photos from a 24 exp roll
