135 focal length

Somehow a 135 expands the "event horizon" too far: there's simply too many things happening to track in 30-50m distance, as opposed to usual close quarters of 35-50mm. Which is a pity since my 135/4 is truly an excellent performer.

Very happy with my tele-elmar, which gets a fair amount of use. Its not heavy (OK, its heavier than any of the CV lenses, but its bigger, and its well balanced!) I haven't had any problems with the focusing - I prefer to use it on the Bessa T, (as with any of the lenses with separate viewfinders - its more convenient) but the R2 copes with most things.

Every focal length has its place. Joe clearly is not fond of the 135. Personally, I find it superb (leica 135 f4). But these lenses (135mm RF) are always a bargain on the used market because they are generally unpopular and not designed to be an everyday carry around lens.
