135 Konica Pro 160

I have been looking all over for somebody that has shot with this stuff - I've found a few posts here and there but nobody seems to A) ever post any pictures, or B) give their thoughts on it after they have shot it.

This leads me to think that its not worth it - but, I have seen some 120 stuff on Flickr that looks very nice. I know that 120 can give quite a different look sometimes, but I was just curious if anyone has ever shot this stuff recently.

You can purchase it at Ultrafineonline in 100ft bulk rolls, which is why I am interested. Besides the cinema stuff, it is really the only color film I can find that is in 100ft rolls. Thanks in advance!

Well we will see if anybody has any opinions on it, I'm hoping somebody has some sort of experience with it. I really like the look of the 120 stuff, so good luck and feel free to post away...you won't offend me!

I asked the same question 5 days ago on APUG and no one who used it from Ultrafine recently replied. One person used it recently from his frozen stock from 2008 and said it was fine, no color shifts or speed loss. This person's opinion was that the film is more for portraits, with contrast kind of soft for landscapes and general work and the color being kind of weak and pastel. But indoor flash shots were fine.

OK, good to know. Maybe worth a shot then. If I end up trying it outI will for sure post some results.

I know its slightly off the OP but I've shot with Konica film.. The Centuria 400 in 220 and love the results. I would imagine that the 160 is just as good and assuming finer grain than the 400. I have some examples on my flickr if curious.

I never did get any of the 35mm stuff, but I did purchase some for 120. The first roll was all underexposed rating at EI 100, so I rated the second around EI 50 and it turned out much better. I think if I were to start shooting more color in my M2 then I'd try it out for sure. These were with a Bronica SQ-Ai and 80/2.8
