I moved a year ago and finally got around to wanting to use my JOBO CPE-2 film processor again. Unfortunately I cannot find all the reels for the tank. Does anyone know where I can get reels or what other reels will fit? I also have a Yankee film processor but those plastic reels are slightly too large (in diameter).

What tanks do you have? The latest version is a 2502 or several variations that start with 25xx. The reels are 25xx also. Adjustable for 135 and 120/220. You need a center tube to hold the reels and act asa light trap with the lid. The tank lid needs a reducing tube thingie that fits inside the tube with the reels on it.
Lately I have seen several tanks and reels for sale at the Large Format Forum. APUG may have some listed as well. You can also try ebay.

This is what I use and it's perfect. The white reels in the center are 4x5. You may not need those. The 3 black reels are for 135-120-220 film.

The reel size depends on whether you have the 1500 series (smaller diameter) or 2500 series (larger diameter) tanks. Freestyle and I think B&H sell reels for the 1500 series. As far as I can tell you're stuck with fleabay if you're trying to find the 2500 series reels. Although as Wayne mentioned they do come up on apug sometimes, and you'll need the center tube as well.

I've tried Arista reels in the 1500 series tanks and they don't fit either.

I have everything but 3 of the 4 reels. I need to go home and see which series I have. I just found some on Calumet but the prices are ridiculous. Will regular SS reels work on the center tube. They physically fit but I'm not sure if they will rotate.

Either that or I should start cleaning out the attic. Stuff came off the moving van and if there wasn't room it went in the attic.

Yeah, the prices for new reels are nuts. I got all of mine used on ebay as part of tank kits. I ended up with some stuff I don't need but it was still cheaper than buying the reels new.

Not sure about the SS reels. IIRC, the white reels are 1500 series, the black are 2500.

Well, checked it out and I need 3 1500 series reels. Found my 5x7 tank, Patterson stuff and a number of 2800 series tubes (for paper?). Up until 2 years ago I had a nice darkroom, sink, 4x5 and 2x3 Bessler enlargers, and 30 years of "stuff". Now I can't find 2/3 of it.

I generally do B&W with SS reels (of which I must have a 100) so now I wnat to do some color again and can't find most of it. Will probablt clean out the attic, give most of it to the local goodwill until I find what the Jobo stuff.

I also got to get down to my local photo shop. They've got tons of darkroom stuff from the local schools and college, maybe I can find something there.

Unless you need the capacity, can't you use less than the maximum number of reels? From what I recall, 1500 reels are less expensive than than 2500 reels. DO NOT USE 1500 reels in a 2500 tank.

Good luck finding the reels, at least the 1500 reels are still available if you can't. As mentioned, you can probably process with just the one reel, but I'm guessing you'd prefer to process several rolls at a time because it's a big time saver. Don't know what you use for processing but I'm really liking the new Rollei C-41 kit from Freestyle that has separate bleach and fixer. I'm pretty new to home processing but the negs seem to be coming out fine with that kit.
