a well known (and well informed ? ) german dealer (from Meppen not from Hamburg 🙂 ) answered on telephonic request from a LuF member that the price is about 300€ and delivery will start in june 09.

Please note that german consumer prices alwalys include 19% VAT and are "always" 20-30% higher than in US... 🙁

If it was going to be the size of a typical 70-200mm 2.8 then I would I agree with you.
But it's not.

any external finder is noticeable on the street.
the only thing that seems even more noticeable is when i change film on the street.

It is a thing of beauty compared to the Leica's "multi finder" which looks alarmingly like an AM/FM radio!

I'm betting that considering the price of a regular CV finder, this one aught to be up around $395-$495.

Depends on the anticipated market; that seems a bit high to me.

For my part, I'm looking to use it with my Bessa T -- the 15-35 finder is a perfect match since my current lens range is (drum roll...) 15mm to 35mm. Mr. K has spies in my photo closet, I tell you! 😀 If the price of the new VF is high enough, I'd have to consider whether to just punt on up to a R4A or a ZI instead. No worries from Mr. K's perspective though, since he makes 'em all!

In Germany Voigtländer gear is mainly 20-30% more expensive than in USA.So the US-price may be about 350 USD

it's a good range for me.
i have the zi and rd1, i'm waiting on a used 15 to add to my kit so this finder would be ideal for 15/21 on both cameras.

Got the price for this and the new Heliar 15mm M mount:
$600 CDN each.
Bessa III 667 is going to be $2589 CDN.

The Australian distributer of CV products (Mainline photo) has the price of the vario finder listed, exactly the same as the new 15 lens. So she ain't cheap. But I'm going to get one anyway.
