15mm Voightlander

A friend has one of those which he uses extensively for out-streched arm self portraits, but, he told me that when he needs to use a filter he places a large filter, like 62mm, next to the lens rim to avoid vignetting.

Cameraquest mentions using the 12mm's shade and adapting it :

Quote: "You can use filters, but only if they are much larger than the lens, such as gelatin filters and say, 72mm filters. Play a around with it, whatever works, works. You will have to tape it, or more likely, hold the filter in front of the lens during the exposure. Another option is using the 12's 77mm filter adapter. The 15's barrel is a bit smaller, wrapping some electricians tape around the lens barrel will allow you to mount the clamp on 12's 77mm filter ring."

As an ex-toolmaker i would say... find a filter that fits inside hood,i.e.leica 36mm,then find an empty filter ring to place behind filter you want to use,to protect protruding glass in lens, then use double-sided masking tape to hold the whole outfit together and to hold against face of lens
