Lets here it from the Red Sox fans.

As a Yankees fan I am a little numb right now, but stand up and be counted.

sfaust, peter_n you guys are in the capital of Red Sox nation, what is the feeling in Boston?

After missing the NE gathering last week I ended up grabbing my camera this morning and went to Old Sturbridge Village today. As I walked around I wondered if it would be more approprate for me to cheer "1819" while I was there.

I looks like the best team is going to win this year, of course, if we could just get to game 7 on Halloween....

I'm a Toronto Blue Jays fan, but when they don't make the playoffs (many years now), my backup team to root for is the Boston Red Sox. I really felt badly for them last year in the final game with the Yanks. This year I'm pulling for them all the way!

After such a long wait, all I can say is that its so sweet the way its unfolding. If they win tonight, its one hell of a comeback and post season sweep. Definitely one for history. If they loose, and we go all seven games and win, still a great series and victory. If we loose the next 4, St Louis will be the victor with a hell of a story behind their comback on the tails of the Red Socks comeback. A great story to tell their kids. Either way, it a great ride no matter what happens tonight, or in the next 4 games!

I just wish I could be there!! I hope somebody is putting in on film or in digits ;) (said as if I didn't know there were thousands of cameras documenting the games)

Well now that you have the Holga are you going to sell everything else!

Got 120?

No, I think I will hang onto the other odds and ends that I have hanging around. :D

And I did just take stock, I have enough 120 for now even after shooting 4 rolls today.

And no peter_n, this didn't escape my notice :) I also need to call my niece, as I would swear, even bet a $100 thats her on the right in black. But what are the odds.....just no way

7 years in the US and I still have no idea if most team names I hear are relating to Baseball or American Football or Basketball :)

2-3 years in Chicago did make me a Bulls-fan though and to this day Basketball is my favourite American sport.

Baseball makes me wanna fall asleep :)

Yes it's nice that the Red Sox are doing well. Baseball is a beautiful game - basketball makes me want to fall asleep... :)

It's nearly 8 o'clock and I know the Sox are playing the Cardinals but there's a match on the telly I just HAVE to see, Manchester United - Arsenal, I can't wait to see it!!! :D :D :D

The funniest sporting event I have seen recently was a Liverpool vs Newcastle match. It was a pretty poorly played game by both sides, but the announcers were a riot to listen to.

What would we do without lap-tops? I am watching the game, developing some T-Max 3200, and monitoring the RFF.

I grew up in Michigan and we had season Tiger tickets (my parents did). I was kind of a Tiger fan but from early on always had an affinity for the Cubs, so I can empathize with the Sox fans. It's been fun just watching records being broken and history being made -- enough of the "Curse" already, the poor Sox fans have suffered enough! Now, if only the Cubbies could...

P. S. Forgot to mention that my younger brother lived in Chicago for quite a while, before they installed lights at Wrigley -- man, there was nothing like taking in day games at Wrigley field, probably as close as I'll ever get to time travel:D

I'm still waiting for the Seattle Mariners to make it to the World Series... don't let my location fool you :)

That's a big deal, Frank. I hadn't heard that it was the 100th -- that makes it especially special (I always like tying those two word together). Congratulations to the Sox and all of their dedicated fans -- you guys certainly deserved it. And what a performance: back from a 0-3 deficit with the last game 19 to 8, win the next four with their backs against the wall every game and then to sweep an otherwise first-rate ball club (remember, the Cardinals had a pretty impressive record). Way to go Boston!

Curse... huh...what.. someone say something about a curse???

 :D

After the long drought, it sure was a hell of a way to win it all with style!!

I told everyone that if we lost tonight, I wanted St Louis to win the next 4, and do to us what we did to the Yankees. Just because it would be a great event for the books. BUT, I REALLY REALLY WANTED TO WIN TONIGHT!!! Lets not dismiss that :)

And win you did, in a big way! Congratulations to the players and the ever so patient fans -- the fans are the best (along with the Cubbies:D )

I feel especially happy for the fans. As a Toronto Maple Leaf hockey fan (last Stanley Cup in 1967) I can empathize with them!
