1936 CZJ Sonnar 1.5 vs CZ Opton 1.5

So, you think there is a huge difference between an early 1936 era Jena made Sonnar 1.5 and a late model Stutggart made Sonnar Opton 1.5? You may be surprised. See attached and see if you can tell the difference.

Nah, if both are in good condition (without scratches, etc.) & you're not shooting w/strong light sources in, or just out of, the frame, they should be pretty hard to tell apart, though the lower contrast of the uncoated lens is more apparent in color shots.

I am guessing that the photos on the left are the post war lens and the ones on the right are the prewar lens , but they are both very good lenses.
 
Ha! I was wondering when someone was going to make a taste-test guess. The image on the left is the prewar lens.
