1939 Kodachrome film on E-bay

Kodachrome 35mm still film first available in 1936...the box shown in the auction is the first original style box...note the for Retina, Contax, and Leica cameras line...it is a mint condition piece apparently, very very early, probably very rare...historical...$$$

Not to mention likely completely totally obsolete as of December 31st last year...

This is ***extremely*** rare, I have been watching for these since 2004 and have only seen one other one which I bid $100 on in 2006. It went for $175.

If it were the pre-economic crash / pre-Freetography™ days, I would bid even higher than this amount, but no such luck. I do have some nice collectables in Kodachrome though including some 1940's 3x5 sheet film, 1950's 35mm and a few boxes of 16mm in this style of packaging in mint condition including one with an expiration date of 1936, possibly from the first batch ever.

Recently I *did* win this spectacular 8 x 10 Kodachrome on ebay not long ago:

Might be as rare as that little box of film...
