Hey,
I'm a photo student and just recently purchased my first rangefinder. All i could afford within my budget was the CL... I must say i'm in love... The Leitz 'Cron 40/2 is simply amazing, sharp, and beautiful. Here are some images i took at disney world.

Nice job, welcome you will love the camera. As you can see the lens is one of the most under rated lens from Leitz. I have taken many great photos with my CL.

Thank you!
I'm looking for a good (affordable) film scanner... any recommendations?
^^ I used the Kodak HD 400 film (since it was the only thing i could get my hands on at disney) and shot at 100 asa.

I'll hijack your first roll thread and add my own. I went rangefinder shopping a few weeks ago and ended up with a Minolta CL with the 40mm. As an added bonus it came with all the original packaging and what not.
I put a roll through the camera this weekend and really enjoyed myself. The meter and shutter seem to work fine. I was finding taking photos with my dslr a bit of a bore. The CL adds some variety and challenge to the experience making it much more enjoyable (which is what hobbies are for, right?).

Welcome aboard. Glad you like it. It's one of those cameras you never want to change and I had a CLE for a week...

Ryan,
I noticed that you are in Taipei. I will be spending a month in Taipei starting in a
few weeks. I will bring one of my film Leicas and was wondering if there are any
good places to have B&W film developed? Or maybe you do your own?
I used to have the Leitz-Minolta version of the CL - definitely one of my favorite
Leicas.
