Just bought the camera from a member here. I put a new battery in with a wad of tinfoil. Using ASA 400 film Fuiji color. All of my landscape pictures came out nice but a bit on the dark side. A bunch of pictures I took of our chocolate lab did not come out at all....too dark to even print. I wonder it is a problem with the battery. I need to order the right adapter from Yashica guy. I wonder also if the meter is off. All of the pictures were slightly dark, but the one's of the dog were too dark to even print.

Forgot to mention, the underexposed pictures were taken about 2 - 3 ft. from the subject. Maybe this is too close for the lens.

what type of battery did you put in?
I suggest silver oxide instead of alkaline.
It should work fine with both but the alkaline does not have a consistent voltage through its lifetime.
The adapter you made should be fine, as long as it works, it works fine. It cannot work half good :D

may i ask, if i use 1 X CR2 + 2 X LR44, is that okie? Lithium mixed with alkaline? they fit in perfectly, i just place the CR2 between the 2 LR44.
