Practiced each year, flagellants from all over the province of Pampanga, Philippines and even visitors from neighboring towns gather to offer their "panata" or "vow of sacrifice".The flagellants perform these acts as a form of "sacrifice" for the forgiveness of their sins, fulfill religious vows or to express gratitude for answered prayers.

We saw these guys walking and toting on old Route 66 this morning in Albuquerque. This area has a lot of Catholics, but most New Mexicans are not into this. Las Cruces was a little different (as you can tell by their name), but they're closer to the Mexican border. All I will say is, to each their own.

The X100f is amazing, what I really like is the joystick to toggle focus quickly. I had the original X100 before though I liked it but it is so slow that I missed focus often. The f is fast but not to the level of the Olympus M43.

My X100F has become one of my favorite cameras. I have been using it for a long-term project for almost two years, paired with an X-Pro2. Both have served me well, and will continue to do so, I'm certain.

Glad you are happy with the X100f, but I think these folks could use some counseling! From a counselor's perspective, hurting yourself isn't mentally healthy, and won't really fix anything!

Hi Rob, I know but it's a culture and tradition thing done for over a hundred years. Even the church do not agree with this practice but tradition continues to this day passed on to children and family & friends.

Glad you are happy with the X100f, but I think these folks could use some counseling! From a counselor's perspective, hurting yourself isn't mentally healthy, and won't really fix anything!
