2.1cm f4 Nikkor S mount on the 'bay !

I may bit. I am considering it. The seller said picking it up in person is acceptable. He is in Hong Kong. He sent me a number of extra pictures, but for some reason will not provide the full serial number.

If the S3 didn't have any scratches on the paint near the eyepiece, maybe $900 - $1,000, but with the scratches I agree its worth closer to $700.

We're talking about a reissue,right?
You guys are in Japan, where these are selling cheaper. Over here in the USA, it'll do a Grand or more.

I sold one for $1400 sometimes ago.

Order the 8.5cm f1.5 as well?
Nope, I don't have the money and I already have a great Nikon 85, the 85/2. I don't think I'll use that lens very often, so getting a second one just doesn't make sense.

I hope to do a shootout between the 3 s-mount 21mm lenses this weekend: 2.1cm/4, 21/4.5 Biogon and CV 21/4. If I am not impressed by the 2.1cm it will be going back. 😱

That's partly why I passed on the 85 as well. I have a great copy of the 85/2.

Sanpou has a good return policy, from memory up to one month. Post your 21mm test shots!

I will post the shots for sure. I the lens turns out well it will be going with me to Vietnam. I'm taking an S2 with me for sure! From the few shots I've seen from the lens I was very impressed with it looking on a light table, but I want to shoot into difficult light and see how those scratches will affect the performance.

In the end, I'm not a collector, so I cannot justify buying thing that I won't use. I do however love using obscure and interesting lenses. This 2.1cm will get a ton of use if I keep it and selling the 21/4.5, 21/4, F-S/C adapter and 15 SL will basically pay for it.

It certainly will get used. Looking forward to seeing some pics.

And please think of me first if/when you go to sell the Biogon 21/4.5
