Although I have (and like) the Elmarit 28mm f2.8 asph I love fast lenses and saw a CV 28mm f1.9 on sale cheap on ebay with a good adapetr so thought I should pick one up for those times I want 35mm effect but low light. I can't really justify buying a 28mm summicron - and I have the 35mm, 50mm and 90mm summis. The Nockton 35mm f1.2 is one of my favorite lenses so i thought i should give the CV 28mm a try.
I also can't justify the expense on a Noctilux (and my Nockton does the job) but I did pick up a very nice Canon 50mm f1.2 to have a very fast 50mm. The focus was really off when I got it, thanks to other leica users recommendations I sent it to Malcolm Taylor to fix. He has done an excelllent job and it now has a beautiful, rather soft and dreamy, effct I really like.
So here is a couple of M8 photos I took last night using both "new" used lenses for the first time
