I was a bit distracted by things last week and visiting the gallery again was a tonic! Wow, has it become active. It was never easy to come up with ten highlights and now it's even harder. For every one I picked there were at least two others I could have picked as easily. Do yourself a favour and enjoy the fine photography that is being posted there.
Here's what I came up with for the past seven days in the gallery:
HBC, Subway:

Ray, ManGo, Oscar, thanks so much for your picks. You always highlight fine work I somehow overlooked, or that I'm delighted to see again!

Gene, Ray, Mango, Oscar - Many thanks for reviewing these fine photos. I haven't had adequate time lately for looking through the galleries, and the pics you've highlighted are very good. Nicely done, choosers and photogs both.

Frankly, I've given up on rating 5 or 10 best every week - there are just too many good pics, some days I could give the 5 best of the day, sorting through the whole week would take hours...

Ignore It (It'll go away)
I think the best approach is not to try to rate the "best"—just point to ones that work for you that week, personally, for whatever reason. The photo(s) may not be the best compositionally, or technically, but selecting some photos and looking at other's selections and comments helps to bring attention to some of the effort going on here. I think an imposed limit of seven to ten is good though, but I'm always willing to look at however many someone puts up (and I do).
