Re-instituting one of our best traditions from 2004 -- the 7-day gallery roundup! What were your five fav fotos over the past seven days? (Let's stretch it from Jan 1 to Jan 9 to include all of 2005).
Mine were, in no particular order (and as always it was painful to have to choose only five from the excellent postings):
Newcomer and photographer extraordinaire, fotografz has been knocking my socks off with his entries. I love the drama and the perfect timing/composition of "Opah!"
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/5879/sort/1/cat/last7/page/1
I love the excellent lines, contrast and shadows of "Stairs" by thmk:
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/5699/sort/1/cat/last7/page/14
Another great one from graksi called "Men with bicycle":
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/5705/sort/1/cat/last7/page/13
The bold, golden colour and the gritty texture of John Robertson's "Golden Slipway":
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/5734/sort/1/cat/last7/page/11
The stunning composition of fraley's "Coffee Palace":

What were your favs?

I find it very difficult to chose favs; ones that I like now I may find less interesting tomorrow. Incidentally, I have roamed the gallery yesterday and left comments on several shots I liked. Ed Leveckis' (sp?) subway shots are wonderfully gritty and grungy. Love them or hate but that is a very fine series.

Todd, Fraley, thanks for participating. You've highlighted some nice stuff -- some of which I missed when it first went through the gallery! Thanks for including one of my images!

Gene and the others thanks for relaunching this thread ! Todd thanks for choosing that pic of mine!
I'm going to rescan and work a bit more on it soon.
Argh I hate having the ghosts of the exams flying over me every 4 months !

Nice pics.
Oscar, how are you gettin along with the Yashica (the D) ? Have you already some results from it? Do you like it? Does it still work?
Do you still have it?
I hope you enjoy it, but if not, don't hesitate to tell me. There's some money-back guarantee on it!

Hem yes, last time I checked it was inside the closet and worked fine
Pherdi, to be honest I haven't finished the roll on it yet. Things have turned a bit complicated lately and I don't have too much of a free time to wander around lately, hence few shots.
Tell me if you'd like to have it back there...

no, no
that was not my point, lol
just i did not hear much about it, so i thought you're too shy to say anything hehe
i do read about your exams... i imagine you're busy (me too).
Good luck with them. Actually, we used to wish "lots of sh|t" since saying "good luck" brings bad luck.
[Sorry for off-topic!]
PS: in fact, i plan to wait a bit like a mont or so, and if my Rolleicord still did not come home by then, I'll get another TLR. I'm even thinking about "investing" in a good rolleiflex - or a mamiya C system.

hehe, don't worry
Actually if I have to let some camera fly I always prefer to give its old owner first shot for it so I'll let you know if it's the case
Meanwhile, lot of sh*t with your PhD as well !
Now me and my head are back to the compiler program...

This street performer from Rich
There's something in this one from Todd that simply draws me in...
What can I say from this OPAH! from fotograz and all his fantastic series
Something tells me fraley will be looking for a M3 very soon
The painter from THMK is simply fantastic !
And special mention to all the work from Ed Leveckis at http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showgallery.php/ppuser/856/cat/500 which as somebody said won't leave you indifferent, some very very strong images there which I really like.
Remember that this is just a tiny sample of what can be found in the gallery and that it's getting really difficult to keep yourself to five images and that's why...
I'll include this fantastic one from Graksi
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/5705/sort/2/cat/last7/page/8
And this one from Pablo Antonio which makes us remember how it was to be a kid
http://www.rangefinderforum.com/pho...hoto/5836/sort/2/size/medium/cat/last7/page/3
