Sorry, hate to be a PITA, but can we be specific about the gallery closing time?
I think what Keith intended is:
Close gallery for submission on Jan 14 at 23:59:59. Is this correct? In other words, you can upload to the gallery on the 14th, but not on the 15th. Right?
Btw, I'm not sure what time zone we go by, but that's another matter.

Do the pix have to have been taken during the 14-day period? In other words, if I took a photo using the same camera/lens combo, but happened to take it a few days before Dec. 17, can I still submit it?

Proud to say I have had a new Leica M5 with M-Hexanon 35mm combo on the shelf for three whole days, before succumbing to the urge to use them. I've uploaded my shots tonight and will be a happy shooter with the M5 and 35-Hex in the morning!
