2011 FSU contest.... anyone...?

Can anyone be bothered with a FSU contest this year....? I've passed on the last couple of years, but am back into it now so I'm up for it... One of you guys with your vast FSU collections could donate one of your "spare" rangefinder's as a prize to help motivation....

The only problem with an FSU contest is I don't think there's quite the same population with them here these days ... consequently I think interest and participation may be limited somewhat by those numbers.

Maybe we could try the 14 day one camera one lens challenge again ... though even that flagged a bit second time around IMO!

the Russian camera thing last year did not attract all that much support ... maybe there are good reasons for that.

Feel free to come up with a good idea to motivate the rff masses

My problem is time. I would love to participate if I can find time. But I think Keith is correct too. FSU isn't as popular here as it used to be. The former popularity is what pushed me over the edge to getting my Kiev and lenses.

So would I ... but then I have the luxurious choice of a Fed 2 or a Kiev ll.

Though I think the Fed may have a shutter problem at 1/500 ... bounce maybe?

Although I think it's Kapa's prerogative to start the official thread (should he deem it a viable contest), I'd like to suggest the use of themes related or opposed to the FSU: industry, military, propaganda art, free speech, agriculture, etc?

Does it have to be a FSU body? I have the Jupiter 3 but its on a Canon body.

How about former and present commie camera contest? Would increase the number of cameras that could partake? Czech, East German, Chinese, etc? Or does that defeat the point?
