2011 FSU Contest "extension"..?

Sorry about that Vlad, Keith et al... your a rare breed. Bet you always had your assignments in on time at school- while us slackers were hanging out behind the bike sheds playing with our..... Zorkis? ;) By the way- what did you shoot your images on- you didnt mention. You must be spoilt for choice there in Romania?

Wow, the gallery already has twice as many photos as last years "contest". Does anyone have an idea for prizes- (we need 3). :bang:
 
A bit like those "design-your-own" greetings card, how about a DIY winner's certificate, plus full bragging rights, of course.
I'd also like to agree with special.foto about "us" few who got them in on time, but rushed.......Our pictures would have been incredible if only we had another week to play, not like the mediocre snaps I was forced to enter ;)
.....But, I guess that anyone could delete an earlier image and upload a new a shiny photo.........

Sorry about that, forgot to mention. Took them with a fed 5 and industar 61 l/d. I would like to be spoiled for choice, it's true that you can find fsu's easyer but it's not like you can find them at a garage sale for two bucks. Many aren't working properly but at the local fleamarket one pops up once in a while. I must say my fed is a gift from my gf's grandmother, who bought it from the soviet union some 20 years ago.

I suppose i could interpret the absence of a statement forbiding replacing submited photos in a tacit aknowledgement to do so. If so, it could be a balance between extending the submiting period and those who already submited. I like irony!
 
Actually, my submitted photos are not all the first choices I had. After getting messed up during the first upload try, I went back through my sets and changed a couple of selections, and reworked another. So I probably would have done that anyway if the first attempt at uploading had gone through, since there was still one day of shooting left. So go ahead and resubmit.

Don't have a lot of FSU stuff to give, but I now have an extra cap for my I-22 I could donate. Maybe as a 3rd place prize.

I've asked Stephen (Gandy) to close the the competition- so if you've still got images to upload get them up soon..... :p Really pleased with the turn out for this competition- and not even a prize to motivate. I have requested the option of 3 votes per user- so we can all vote for our favorite image out of the 3 themes. Hopefully this will be enabled- should know soon :cool:
 
I expect that the gallery will be open for us to make our selections soon.
There are quite a few images that are not titled with the category they belong to. Could some images may have been posted there accidentally?

Perhaps all that did enter some images uncategorised might have an opportunity to rename them before voting commences.

How would we deal with images that remain uncategorised?

Fidget et al.... have asked Stephen to close the contest and allow voting- and just followed that request up. So hopefully we should be able to vote soon... :rolleyes: Yes, I've noticed many pictures that not only do not list what category they are for- but do not note what FSU gear has been used. I'm recommending not voting for (the majority) of those images because I suspect they were not shot on FSU cameras...
