Super, Paul!
Looking forward to meeting you both! Be careful driving over Saturday morning as it looks to be wet on the roads.

I'm not going to be able to make it down to Atlanta tomorrow. I had thought I could make it work, but I just have too many things happening right now.

WOW!! And WhooHOO!! What a great time was had by all who were there at the "event!"
Lots of great company and a great HCB exhibit--followed by a fabulous feast at Dave and Lori's house!
Thanks to all--the SE regional meet-up could NOT have been better!
Almost TOO much fun...

You beat me to it, Paul!
What a magnificent group of folks! With all the weather reports and such, we had a tremendous attendance with the longest (disputed?) distance RFF members coming from Houston, Texas and the second longest (disputed?) from Miami. And there were folks from Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina and, of course, Georgia!
We started out with breakfast at the Landmark Diner and they ran out of tables as we quickly filled up the back of the diner! After that, most headed to the Dogwood Festival as it was just cranking up, it was hugely attended later in the day, one of the largest in Atlanta all year.
The HCB exhibit at the High Museum has hundreds
of HCB photos displayed, most of the full-frame prints, some enlarged, and was fantastic! Coupled with the video above, I have a much better understanding of the man and his work. My wife, a non-photographer, was elated and thoroughly enjoyed the High Museum, even all the European art, paintings and sculpture.
After that, the RFF mob headed to Little Five Points...the funkiest part of real estate in Georgia and then...ta da!...
David Dearborn and Lori hosted a huge dinner on the patio next to the equally huge cameras (Deardorf 8x10) and a Linhof Technika (4x5) in the backyard! Cool, windy and very warm people. Thanks, David! And, Lori, again, thank you for all of your hard work getting everything ready and cooking such a feast!

Those attending were:
1. atlcruiser - David Dearborn and Lori
2. Paulbe - Paul Beavin (Georgia Tech grad!)
3. fastestfourier - Andrew Yang (another Georgia Tech grad!)
4. dave lackey - Dave Lackey (yet another GT grad) and wife, Linda
5. paulfish4570 - Paul Foreman and his wonderful bride!
6. tjh - Tom Herbert from Miami, Florida
7. blw - Barry Whitesides from North Carolina
8. gb hill - Greg Hill from North Carolina
9. phOtony TeXas - Tony Endieveri from Houston, Texas
10. Russ Brown - Russ Brown from Houston, Texas
11. StevenJohn - Steve Meitner from Knoxville, Tennessee
And, if I forgot anyone, please forgive and copy/paste your name(s) on the list.
To all who attended, thank you! It was a pleasure to meet you in person and adds so much to the RFF experience. We appreciate your time, energy, and expeditures to join us in Atlanta and hopefully, we can make more of these RFF happenings....well, HAPPEN!
