2021 was a tough year in so many ways.

The world wide pandemic interrupted or ended countless life plans.

Yet somehow we made it through, more or less sane.

some more sane than others...

I am happy to be here, but sad for all the families affected by COVID 19's terrible cost.

May you all have a better and happier 2022.

Stephen

Thank you, Stephen. This site has been a good place to hangout with all that has been going on this past year. I spent last New Year's Eve in the cardiac ICU recouping from a quad bypass, so yes, I'm happy to be here too!

Thank you, Stephen. I'm grateful to be here and I, too, have spent quite of bit of time in my Covid-enforced solitude on this site.

Thanks, Stephen, for providing us this place to hang out among friends.

Glad you and AlwaysOnAuto have made it through.

I sure do hope 2022 is better. We all deserve it, but some more than others. I'm thankful for RFF! Even if my wife says I spend too much time here.

Thank you Stephen. Your thoughts are warmly appreciated.

My thanks also for your continued support for this site, which is much more than the sum of its parts... a good community.

I hope 2022 is prosperous and rewarding for you, by whatever measures you use.

I thank all the members who contribute to make this forum what it is, and who give so generously of their time, support and knowledge. Thank you.

My best wishes to all for 2022.

Lynn

Yes, it was, and yes, we did. In my case, not so sure about the sane part...

I believe our photo projects, goals, ideals, thoughts, keep us balanced. Playing with cameras is one thing, enjoyable to be sure, but planning and creating images to express ourselves in new ways in recording the everyday things in our lives, often takes us out of our Covid negative ruminations and our many existentialist cares and worries and puts us in a special place, entirely and uniquely our own.

We seem to have lost (or I hope only temporarily mislaid) a few members this year. I hope they will return. Even the less agreeable ones, if they aren't offensive in an obscene way, contribute by keeping us on our toes and involved. Whatever our thoughts and disagreements on any subject, whether photo or other, are usually only our opinions and when they are aired and expressed in socially accepted ways, often stop me in my mental tracks and make me think more laterally, even if I do disagree with them on first reading. Curmudgeons do have their place in any web site - as long as they are polite and friendly about it.

Good to know we seem to have got through and survived the many new changes in this web site. I was especially critical toward some of these, but I then set to experimenting a bit and trying to find ways around some of the problems, and would you believe it, I found almost all of them could be solved.

Kudos to our experts for having done so well this year, and to those members who have kept posting and entertaining us with their thoughts, however differing those may have been.

Happy new year and a good '22 to all.

Thanks for hosting RFF, Stephen, and thanks too for the good wishes for 2022. It was a calm and uneventfurl 2021 for us, on balance. Hoping for a better 2022. Best wishes and good fortune to you and all RFF members in the year to come.

It has been quite an interesting year. Started out wondering whether I would still be 5' 10 3/4" above ground by the end of it. Ending with looking like I could still get a few more years out of this body. Started my journey into a mostly digital camera system, but still planning on keeping the film cameras working. I've lost relatives and friends to Covid or other maladies, or just old age. Oh, and the RFF rebuild happened. That was looking a little sketchy for a while, but seems to be humming along now with just a couple more tweaks needed. I really appreciate what all you've done for us, Stephen. Don't know where we would be without you.

Just like to add my appreciation for how you have improved the site Stephen and to wish everyone a happy (ier) new year.
Lets us all hope that we can move forward and overcome this dreadful disease .
In doing so let us also all spare a thought to those families who haven`t been as fortunate .

Head Bartender??!! A round for the house! The year has been difficult. At my age my peers are dying from something because of age in addition to the pandemic. But none of it has caught up with me. Yet. Hopefully we will see improvement for all in the coming year. Good times are around the corner.

Thank Stephen, yes it was a difficult year, as it is now where I live (Italy, Europe). But we are learning to live with it. RFF and the friends I made through it is a good help in difficult time to keep the spirits high.
Wish you and all members here all tha best for the next year!

Thanks, Stephen.
I am also happy to still be here, and things could have been much worse.
Happy New Year to al here.

Don't forget to drink your favorite drink.

Stephen thank you for all you do behind the scenes and in front of it, RFF has brightened my days this year and kept me going, thank you to the RFF members too, I wish you all and your families a Happy New Year.

Thank you for this place where we can do all the things that are happening here, Stephen!
All the best to you and to all the nice guys around for the next level called 2022 :)
Stay tuned,

Axel

From your lips to God's ears my friend.

I'm crediting photography as the major source of happiness this year. While in volume I didn't get a lot of new stuff, my new iPhone 12 Pro is wonderful. It's allowed me to keep capturing stuff that I see and gives me lots of material to edit and crop.

Please be get/stay/be healthy in 2022 everyone. Be safe, keep sharing ideas, work, etc, and have lots of FUN!

Thank you, Stephen!
People say we are living in our own world here on RFF.
Maybe so or maybe not - but they are living a nightmare.
All the best!

Ivan

In 33 days I will be an RFF member for 18 years and it has been a good forum to belong to. Yes, outside this forum it has been a tough 2 years and I don't see much change for the better till at least 2025 but at least we have this platform to take our minds off more harsher things. Thank you Mr. Gandy !
