lol come on..
I think they should make a digital Leica 1... no focusing aid mechanism (other than a focus scale on the lens), but an awesome EVF for viewing!

Nah. They'll just plaster "100 Jahre" on everything and double the price.
Just kidding, but I think the 100-year anniversary symbol will marketed.

I kinda like the idea of a digital Leica Standard. Shutter speed dial with an "A" setting and slow speeds. Film advance knob for cocking the focal plane shutter like an Epson RD-1. An electronic viewfinder in the same form factor as the original yet it would show focus as well as framing. My only caveat would be an "M" mount as this would allow use of classic screw mount lenses with an adapter. No LCD, just use the viewfinder for menus and playback. Menu selector could be integrated into what was the rewind knob.

By 2025 Leica should be OK to release 100K USD, no IBIS, no dust reduction, 100MP camera. Lux'R'us is cool name for it.

I am sure you're right about the price. One thing is for sure; there won't be a loyal-customer discount.

Yay! Cameras! 🙈🙉🙊┌( ಠ_ಠ)┘ [◉"]
I would love them to license the replication of one of these using original materials with accelerated patina finish.

They replicated the UR in the 1970’s. Several have been converted to working. Here’s one of mine.

I see no reason of them not making one now in 2020 to commemorate the 95th year anniversary.

Leica will produce 100 of whatever model is current at the time, suitably engraved, at an extravagant price, with the sole intention that they be traded, in unopened boxes, amongst collectors in the Far East. Or am I being unduly cynical?

Ummmm. Would be a Sweet Replica! Limited to 1,925.
