Second time I wandered through this rather interesting event. Last time was with a RD-1 and a CV 41/4. This time it was with a M9 and 35/2 v4 Cron all in pitch black lighting and at 2500 ISO. Pretty wild stuff. Click here for the full set. (SFW)

Last time, downtown tampa had a weird energy that drew me in. This time it felt strange... almost like there had been a death in the community.

I snapped these frames more within that 2o minutes. That was enough, I left without much thought.

Walking further down the street, I saw a cop crying in front of a monument to his fallen brethren. I misfired the shutter as I was so taken aback by his moans. I got to the local pub, where the energy of the nearby event caused this strange fellow (who was no way connected to FetishCon) to proposition in hopes of exchanging "Dancing" with money. That doesn't happen to me very often. I was speechless.

As the strange man pressured on and on, my friend remarked "The friendly is wearing off." I don't think he understood.

Leica low-light haters, his eyes were indeed that red... and no, that is not how I afford my gear.

Cool set! The last two shots are stand-out for me but overall a very unique set of images. Not sure how you got away with taking pics at such an event. I would have imagined that security might have stopped you if they spotted you with a camera although with all the iphones out there it would be an impossible task these days.

Ha ha, yeah I didn't know if you could make out how oddly embarrassed my buddy was with the heavy foreground bokeh, but you can definitely make out the drunken lust in this cat's eyes.

Maybe it's time to pick up the 35/1.2 which would give you an extra stop or so to play with :)

overall, an interesting look into another world for me!

Very nice work. I like to shoot in the available dark too and you showed that ISO 2500 can be quite usable.
