21mm f.28 pre asph

Lovely lens but when mine was stolen in Moscow 25 years ago I didn't bother to replace it, as I already had a Kobalux 21/2.8 and the Leica lens wasn't enough better to justify the money. If you can live with the low speed a Biogon is stunning too.

Unless you are willing to guess framing, you will need an external optical viewfinder, which has no electronics. You use the camera's viewfinder for metering and the external finder for framing. An external electronic viewfinder (EVF) only works on certain digital M models.

A very nice lens for an interesting focal length. You may find the E60 lens size an issue, and if you like the results enough, and most likely you will, you are into your trip to acquire the SEM version of it later. An external view finder increases the joy of its use, so factor its cost too. Best.

Long supplanted by the Asph version, this is a well-respected Mandler design that does a wonderful job. I have one that's not been used in a while because I kept it in the bag with the hood attached and that loosened the locating ring on the lens. I should get it fixed, because it was my go-to lens in this focal length. Not as quirky as the Super Angulon 3.4, and a good bit bigger, but it is a wonderful lens.
