i wonder if the fuji 27/2.8 lens has increased in sales since the xe3 came out?
i see more and more photo credits with this pairing...they truly were made for each other size wise.
i'm curious about you new xe3 owners and if you have been tempted by the 27?

Don´t have the X-E3 yet, but of course the 27mm will be on it at times... that said, it is not my favorite lens. My favorite is the 35mm F2. They need a 35mm F2.8 pancake.

looking for smaller/slower lenses...me too!
i know that the new fujicrons are small but the 27 on an xe3 is tiny and makes the other lenses seem to protrude out so much.
even the 18 feels smaller on the xe3.

I loved the image quality of the 27, without a doubt. I've bought it three times and sold it three times because of two other issues. Its focusing is noisy and you can't easily mount a lens hood on it unless you screw it onto the moving section of the lens.

I just bought a used xt-10 +27mm as a compact travel kit, that will also go into dim light and nighttime without compromising IQ. My first foray into the Fuji X series and I am thrilled so far. So much that I have an 18mm on the way and the first inklings of lustbfor the 10-24mm zoom have begun...oy!

Joe, I had been considering selling my XE2 but lately have changed my mind because of the 27.

As soon as there's a Fuji sale or I see a good used price I'm getting one to permanently mount on the E2.
Yes, it's a bit slow but from what I've read it performs quite well wide open.
Fortunately, too, I like a 40mm FL.

also, in the Smaller and Slower Department: here's a vote for an
18mm f2.8 pancake.

I just bought a used one for $289 from Adorama not too long ago... I use it, the 18/2, and the 23/2 predominantly on the X-E2s because it has the built in flash. I use the 18-55 and the f1/4 primes mostly on the X-E3, as it has better AF in challenging light.

I noticed that it was stuck in aperture only mode until I updated the firmware on it.

Based on a lot of what I saw and read here I got one and it just doesn't seem to fit my eye. Looks perfect on the camera but I'm more wide angle guy it seems. I have a Zeiss 12 for it but it's a little awkward, the lens is nearly the size of the camera. Where I really have fun is with the little CV 15 and 21 I have.

maybe time to try the fuji 15-45?
