28/3.5 arrived today

Great feel to it. It is very very small, and you will see that it is quite sharp. The 28 Ultron is nice if you need the speed, but if 3.5 will do you will be very happy with this lens.

Rover is right on the money... the 28/3.5 is a bit smaller but it's built like a little tank. I talked with Tom Abrahamson about it the other day and he told me that it was permanently mounted to one of his M2's.

With my experience it's a really contrasty little lens....... Long story short, you're gonna love it.

I agree. Joe, you're gonna love it. I'd say it is one lens that may actually be TOO small, but I know you''re a fan of the Canon 35/2.8, so you should be fine with it. It's an awesome combination on my CLE, so it should be great on the CL, too.

I have the Canon 3.5/28mm, which was the fastest "super-wide" back then (1951) and still sharp enough for can be used today. My suggestion is the C/V is it's worthy successor. It would be interesting to compare them side-by-side to see how wideangles improved the last half century.

the ltm adapter arrived in today's mail so i can finally play with the 28!
it is small but not as small as the nikkor 28/3.5 i had before.
this feels more comfortable. it also has the focus lever which makes a large difference in focusing ease.
nice combo with the 40/1.4, a potent package in a small case.
