I like the bags that came with the COntax G lenses. They're available on ebay pretty regularly. The GCL-1 is plenty big for the 28/2.8 ASPH.

nice , draw string pouch, just wondering if anyone would carry the lens out with the original big zip pouch?or is it only me, kinda huge to fit any camera bag

I got two cheap microfiber pouches (for sunglass) from ebay. Put one inside the other for some extra padding. The material is soft, could function as a lens cloth if needed, and you've got a nice drawstring to pull it closed. It's a $2 solution for storing a $1500 lens, but it doesn't look that cheap

I do carry lenses without a pouch or case- depends on which lens (my 90 or 135 won't fit in one) or which bag. If I'm out for the day with an extra I rarely use one, but when on the road for a few days I always do.

thx guys, Im using the original pouch for the moment haven get a better one.
the plastic lens hood grip scratches on my lens , sent them to leica since still on warranty, the focusing scale paint was missing as well. wish they have the brass lens hood like CV lens tip, that wouldnt scratch when you remove the lens hood..
