Hi all
I recently aquired a Hexanon 28mm from Matsuyiastore (Great guys BTW), after I wasn't satisfied with my VC 1.9. It was hard to say what really pushed me to do so. Maybe a blend of ergonomics and optics. I had the impression that the VC didn't yield good pictures. I think now that it may be the sum of several factors, including low contrast light, low contrast developper (emofin - not sure about this one) and low contrast lens.
Well, the hexanon arrived and I wanted to compare it to the VC. So here are the results - Only a resolution test, a newspaper. The portion shown is cropped and is located at 3/4 ofthe distance on the center - corner axis. Both pictures at f/2.8 at about 1m distance.
These examples has been replicated a number of time to eliminate the risk of misfocusing and the results were consistent.
Left one is the Hex, right one the VC.
This test plus the fact that the Hex is really ain another league when it comes to build quality, and I really think my VC will hit the classified or the bay soon.
Cheers
