Hello,

I have a user M3 for which I just ordered a 28mm Elmarit (v3, pre-ASPH). I thought I’d get an external viewfinder for it, either the SLOOZ or the Voigtlander. Does anyone use either of these two on a “classic” M? I’ve read conflicting things, and would like to know which would be better for my rig. If anyone has any advice, please let me know!

Thanks

Got the SLOOZ which I normally use with my Canon 28mm f2.8 on my Barnacks. Have use it on my M4 with no problems at all. Will test it on my M3 tonight to see if I see anything, although I don't think you would have any problem.

Also got the Canon 28mm finder which is great as well. Came with my Canon 28mm. SLOOZ is brighter though.

Regards

Marcelo

The other thing is that I'm an eyeglass wearer... does the SLOOZ have a rubber eyepiece or metal one? I'm a little afraid that it will scratch my glasses. This input would be most useful.

Thanks again

if the SLOOZes may be foggy, do you think I'd be better off with a new Voigtlander? I mean, I was a little worried that the finder would be off (b/c they're probably optimized for Bessa bodies) but I'm starting to think that's the best way to go, price-wise. Anyway....

I use the Voigtlander one: metal, tiny, very clear and sharp view. It stows away in a 35mm film container to keep dry and dust free.
