I believe 290USD cover the whole clean and adjustment of RF, disamble and asamble the shuttle and advance mechanical parts.......................... close to/equal to overhaul.
I paid approximate amount to DAG for my M3. Now it's in tip top condition. i think it worth every penny of the cost.

I had Essex Camera Repair do a full CLA of my M3 about 6 months ago. It also required new shutter curtains. Total cost was around $260, so your $290 seems to be in the ball park.

Just ask your wife how much she spend since 78 on CLA of her own body
(expensive soaps, hand creams) etc and then compare that with 290$ for your 'body'.

Just be wary of the time your prize will be away--I paid $290 for service from the same guy and it took 3 months to get my camera back. It worked flawlessly, but took ages.

Youxin Ye CLAed my M3 for $80 plus shipping and total turnaround time (including shipping to and from) was less than two weeks. My camera was in very good shape when I sent it, but I had no slow shutter speeds. When I got it back it was unbelievable. He cleaned the finder too.

Youxin Ye is incredible...trustworthy, and does great work. He CLA'd my IIIf, which had the presure plate installed upsidedown...wondered why it was so hard to load film...he also did my M2 with a recover for just over $100 AND he CLA'd my M6 for about $100. He's the only person I've sent a blank, signed check to.

Another vote for Youxin Ye. He repaired my M3 shutter curtain, gave it a CLA and converted my DS to a SS for less than $300 last year. Nice work and turnaround was about two weeks. Good comminucations too.

I'm surprised to hear about Mr. Ye working on an M6.
He did tell me that he only works on meterless m bodies.
The first time I used him I sent him a couple of emails asking questions about prices to CLA my M2, IIc, 3 lenses, etc etc, and he finally responded by telling me to put it all in a big box, ship it to him and he would take care of it.
I did and they were like new- and smelled new- when they returned two weeks later.
I agree with sending him a blank signed check- he's the man.
