I think it's just the screen, this one may not be a good deal. I think Clear Protector make full body coverings for the Panasonic G1 and other cameras. Maybe they will have an M8 version out sometime.
These are the Zagg skins, which are excellent. I have one on my LX3 screen. Granted, it's just a screen protector, but I don't have to change it ever. Excellent product.
This is the Zagg 'Invisible Shield' for the M8 LCD screen. I've had one on mine since June 2007 and it is still immaculate and frankly, invisible! Unlike all other such covers that I've tried, this one does not bubble, or peel at the corners, or cloud up - it just works. It is also a millimetre-perfect fit. So too, is the one on my wife's D-Lux 3 and another I have on the touchscreen of my Archos 605 (which gets drawn on constantly using a plastic-tipped wand - yet shows no sign of wear whatsoever).
Highly recommended. My M8 has a hard life and it is looking pretty well travelled these days - but the chimping screen is still just so - no ridiculously over-priced sapphire screen for me!
I had a Zagg protector on the screens of my M8s. After a while one of them got dirty and scratched so I tried to take it off. The screen came off with the protector. Warranty did not cover this. No protector for me now.
Do people use a screen protector on the sapphire M8.2 display as well? Or is this just silly -- like belt and suspenders? Is the sapphire really that indestructible?
Thanks for all the feedback, for my 8.0 I'm just going to go without screen protector and keep a soft bag with microfiber lining for whenever it's not taking photos.
