GC 400 is my go-to film for every day around the house photography. I find it scans exceptionally well with balanced colors.

I never buy film at CVS anymore (unless it's on clearance), or batteries. They charge way too much for the stuff.

My local Kroger grocer has 3-packs for $8.99. If they're there, I pick up one or two as I walk by.

Amazon sells is for $2.09 a roll as an add on purchase but they limit the quantity to 5 rolls.
