In early December, on my way to a business meeting, I managed to take 3 hours out on Dartmoor on a fine December morning. Below are a couple of shots from that day (posted with due deference to 'martini' :)) - there are one or two more on my website (see link in signature).

Good photos. I use to live in Plymouth and Dartmoor was my playground during the week end. I love the place!

Good photos.

Thanks for the comments. Dartmoor is a great place, especially in black and white - it's about 2 hours drive from me so I must try to get there more often

Beautiful, I would love to see more. Dartmoor is a wonderful place, very dramatic and a tough environment for sure. Just over 10 years ago I did the Ten Tors walk, 35 miles in two days -- it almost killed me I'm sure of it. And peversely enough that didn't put me off walking. It's such a beautiful place, bleakly beautiful but sometimes you can score the most wonderful sunset up on those moors. In early 1999 I remember so well the end of the day, about 5-6pm and the sun was coming down and everything was golden, and a hot air balloon was in the distance drifting... It was magical. Oh for a photograph of that moment! But then the next, it can be so bad you can't see a couple of feet in front of you and its snowing.

Magical! Thanks for sharing.
