It was just the 14-42 kit lens that the camera came with ... but I have the 25mm f1.4 Summilux on order as they offered me a really good price on one! A fast 35mm equivalent prime at some stage and my life will be complete.
I have little time to use it currently (boo hoo) as I'm knee deep in processing images from a gig ... but from what little I've experienced so far this thing is blindingly FAST!!!

The Summilux is an awesome lens on this camera.
Enjoy. Please post some imagery when you get the chance!

Consider the 20 f1.7, it lives on my ep1. Brilliant lens.

I know people seem to dislike EVFs. The EVF on the OMD is fantastic. I have no problems with it at all.

Please share your reactions and experiences re: the eyelevel EVF.
I've been jonesing the OM-D and (initially) the Panny 20/1.7. Still in short supply in the USA.
I don't have a problem with EVFs because they are what they are and people who keep bemoaning the fact that they're inferior to an optical finder are painful ... what the hell do they expect? And of course as good as this one is they will get better ... optical finders will be a thing of the past before we know it IMO!
The EVF in the OMD is very, very good ... though I only have the departed X100 to judge it by. It reacts far more quickly and flickers a lot less than the Fuji one did to my eye and having the compensation dial around the outside of the shutter button is sheer brilliance IMO because you can have your eye to the finder and your finger poised on the shutter button and be adjusting the exposure level in the EVF with absolute ease.
This is a very well thought out camera ... I'm seriously impressed.
It's damned small though ... smaller than I expected in fact!

Black Gav ... all my other OM gear is black so I didn't want to break the pattern!
It took some getting as no one seemed to have stock. Camera Pro in The Valley said they had one at their main store in the city centre so I waited around while they taxi'd it over for me.
Great shop and very helpful ... they had the Xpro there as well and I was surprised at how much bigger it it was than I expected!

One more reason for his OM-1 to get jealous!
I have a Lumix G1 I really like, but with all this talk about the Olympus.... I have the feeling I will soon get one!

The OMD release has been a bit of a sleeper IMO ... all the hoopla about the Xpro and Leica M9M has sort of kept it in the shade!
For me it has sold on it's merit ... when I went into Camera Pro yesterday to have a play with their demo model I took it to the back of the shop and aimed it into the darkest corner of their store room. I tapped the shutter and it focused and fired instantly with no hesitation ... I walked straight back out and asked how soon they could get me a black one.
Sensational!

dammit Keith - I'm still mowing grass. Seriously jealous. Lovely new toy, er, tool. Iwannitnow. Looking forward to seeing your photos with the 25/1.4, especially wide open and close focused.

I did not touch one yet, but from what I hear about it, it seems to be very sexy!
And then, I might just buy it because it is an Olympus. It leaves marks in the brain when someone was married to an OM-2n for more than 20 years

Lynn ... hurry up and finish that mowing and just face the inevitable!

Keith - have you had time to compare it to your D700? would you use the OMD for the same gigs?

I think there will be occasions where I can use it alongside the Nikon ... or in some cases in place of the Nikon. Though in the absolute gloom I work in occasionally the manual focus ability of the D700 will still rule I suspect.
It will definitely now be in the kit as a backup camera ... particularly once I get a fastish 35mm equivalent prime!
As an aside ... one thing that caught me by surprise was the constant hum from the camera's IS sytem!

thanks Keith - will check out the hum
