film loaded in their tanks, chemicals mixed and on the counter to come to a consistent temperature, already decided on developer and time for each tank, notes for photo tags to identify process and data for any photos which happen to come out any good.

What are you doing first thing tomorrow morning?

Take a leak and then have a cup of coffee?
This, then grabbing a battery and a liter of fuel to test a '51 Chevy Styleline Deluxe I wanna buy. It doesn't have a working fuel pump so I'll pour the gas directly into the carb. If it starts, it's a done deal.

Ugh, CAS is even worse/more expensive than GAS :bang:. The cool thing is that it'll be my first own car, and I'll buy it with my own money 🙂

Now, if we had had this conversation last night I would have been cleaning the F4 and F5, checking the batteries, checking the camera bag, charging the Quantam Battery pack and pulling film from the refrigerator...all this so I could shoot an event today at our church...
I got there at 7:30 and left just after 2:00...shot 5 or 6 rolls...

In the morning? Pulling two rolls out of the newly home-made drying cabinet and checking for dust to see if all the tape I used was worth it! One roll had a hell of a time getting on the reel and I kinked it a couple times so I'll be looking for a bad picture or two, then cutting to strips and setting the scanner to run the rest of the day....

...and some grocery shopping.

The PVC pipes are extension tubes. It's the only way I could hang 220 film, everything else would have fit in the box itself.

Hey pirate, thats an impressive looking rig! Might I ask why you made it? Do you have a lot of trouble with nasty looking dusty negatives? I do! It's driving me crazy. Does a lot of dust naturally draw toward the celluloid while it's hanging to dry?

OK, first roll washing, Diafine, Arista Premium 400. No brain processing first thing....

Big bummer though, I had an old bag of D76 I figured I would mix and use (a year or so past expiration) I must not have used hot enough water to mix it though yesterday, I had a nice big crystal at the bottom, ended up throwing it out and switching gears to Adonol 50:1 for the next 2 rolls.

Always have a plan B I guess.

rover, I learned the hard way about using expired developers too. Lost a good roll because of that lesson.

anitasanger, thanks. Lately I've been having more trouble with Dust when hanging in the bathroom. I even have a filter over the heating vent to help catch it, but it's not doing such a bang up job now. The box came from a kite I ordered last week so it's tall enough for everything but 220, which I'm shooting a lot of right now.

And yes I do believe that the dust is drawn to the negatives. They get so sticky when they're drying, it's like glue.

I am fortunate as I caught it. I shook the bottle before pouring, and it was apparent I had issues.

I do want to soup some TriX in D76 though in honor of Tom A, so I have to get through another roll or two soon.

All the negatives are hung for drying, and look pretty good.

I just checked out a roll of C-41 from last night that was drying. Spots. So, now I'll start doing a filtered water bath on Everything before it goes in the drying closet.
