Scam or not, I'm not sure I'd want this many expired rolls of film for this or any price. While it can be convenient to have a roll or two on-hand to test basic camera functions with, most photography is too important to risk getting inconsistent results using unknown, expired film.. There is no mention if it has been kept refrigerated, for example. Fujicolor 200 is an excellent film and I have shot numerous rolls of it but only from fresh film stock!

The reason why link in OP might be still up is because ebay gives no crap for scam.
I don't think it is even possible to flag it anymore.
ebay is run without human these days, in this mode it is hard to filter that is false flag or not.

This post got me to thinking about how human nature works. What if film really was as cheap as $2 for 300 rolls?

I probably wouldn't be as interested in shooting it. There's something about the high cost and difficulty in making a print (compared to downloading a digital file into a computer and printing it at home on an inkjet printer) that is satisfying. You think, yeah, it's a lot of work and expense, but look at the quality!

But what if it wasn't a lot of expense? Would I want to develop and print 300 rolls of film? No I wouldn't. But the expense of the film, and the work and expertise that is involved in making a print ensures that I wouldn't go burning through those rolls. I would make every shot count.

There's also the exclusiveness of the endeavor. Sure, every soccer mom and their friends may shoot digital, but I am in a different category. I shoot film. I'm a real photographer. This isn't to say that this is an accurate statement, it's just how we operate. If everyone else is doing something, it becomes less valued.

100% agreed!

Looking at the title "300x Fuji Fujicolor C200 35mm Film CA 200 135-36 Fujifilm Color Print 08/2017" I am pretty sure they are selling a poster.

Oldest trick in the eBay book.

It's even older than that. I remember reading about a guy back in the early 20th Century who placed a classified ad selling "the music to every song ever written" for a dollar. It was do-ra-me-fa-so-la-ti-do.

That con was even better than new in the crate Jeep MB/GPWs from WW 2 going for $50

If you are right the profit is made by charging $22 for postage I guess!

Including handmade items? lol :p

The same ad showed up in my ebay recommended items feed even though I never clicked on the link in original post.

I suspect this is a promoted ad based on my ebay saved searches and watched items as I only use browser private mode and clear my cookies several times a day.

Nope.
They say you will receive 300 rolls:

C200 135-36
Film For Color Print
ISO 200
Process: CN-16 / C-41
EXP DATE: 08/2017
YOU WILL RECEIVE 300 ROLLS

Of course no way you ever will. Nice to see that ebay still has not removed this.
