35/1.4 Nokton - Advice Needed

It's a great lens. I have the SC version and I love it...it's as sharp as the 50/1.5 wide-open and really compact. It's a little contrasty compared to the Ultron, though...but sharper.

The only complaint I have with my 35/1.4 Nokton classic MC is that it backfocuses a bit at apertures wider than f2.8. But man, when it's on it is seriously on!

Here's a bunch of my photos taken with it.

A couple of questions:

1. Have you had your 35/1.4 Nokton coded for use with the M8?

2. Were the shots on your Flickr site taken using a UV/IR filter?

Thanks

Nokton & Summicron

I have both 35 Summicron asph and Nokton 40/1.4 SC.

The summicron is better quality in the finishing. The focus is smoother... well the nokton is known to have stiff focus problem.

I haven't compare the pics in large prints, but looking at scanned negs or slides they are both very sharp.

But this is what people don't want to hear: when open wide, the summicron at f/2 vignette more seriously than the nokton at f/1.4 !!!

Size wise, the cron asph is almost same as the nokton. So I wonder where the extra costs for the cron went to... was it really the built quality?
