Lee, take a look at Todd's gallery, and to Nikon_Bob one as well, they have some beautiful pictures taken with that lens. fwiw, I've read that the most important thing with that lens is to be sure to get a clean, hazeless and / or serviced one.

I was thinking on the screwmount 35/2.8 Summaron, but that will set me >$500 I think :(

But then, I'm always thinking on equipment I finally don't buy, just dreaming :D

I've got a 56', it's sharp and makes a lovely image...interesting to compare it with my uncoated 1937 35mm 3.5 Elmar...the Elmar is nearly useless without a lenshood but with a hood it seems equal to the flawless coated Summaron. And that awkward little diaphragm adjuster on the Elmar actually may make sense Vs the Summaron's modern adjustor ring because you can't accidentally change the Elmar's f-stop...

I like the 35mm F3.5 Summaron LTM for it's size and performance. I think it is more flare prone than modern lenses with multi coated surfaces so a hood is always good.

this was my primary lens on my IIf during the eighties. i loved it both for images it helped me make and its compactness.
