35 ecr rangefinder window broken

hi, i m new to rf cameras but i like oly 35 series so much.
i bought from local 2nd hand dealer a oly 35 ecr, but found the outer side window of the rangefinder was broken:bang:, he did not mention before sending it to me😡.
i just dont know if this will be big influence to normal shooting. Can i still get normal exposed pics though?Do i need to put something on it if i decide to keep this camera?
Kindly please give me professional replies on this...
do i have to return it?

I think it's just a piece of clear plastic, isn't it? It should be easy to replace. But get a piece of optical grade plastic--maybe at an eyeglass store?

Perhaps they can even cut it for you.

finally i found the yellow spot canot coincide at infinity, sorry i returned the canera...
i wish i can find a better copy soon...

I can't tell from your picture how the window is broken. There is no additional cover glass on the outside (what you're seeing is the front element of the rangefinder window, all glass). The ECR windows are different from the EC and EC2. RF is easily adjusted. John
