Very cool. I've gifted my Yashica to my mother and have been lusting after an Oly.
Might I assume "sonic bust" is a disused Sonic location? I'm particularly intrigued because I have a fascination with roadside/drive-thru architecture, not to mention that we just recently got Sonic up here...😉

They built five Sonic's here in the valley, but two of them have gone under because of lousy locations. The other one has been torn down, and is being replaced with a self-storage facility. Right next to this one is a miniature golf course that suffered the same problems and fate of the Sonic.

I liked the way the camera operated, and the fact you can meter in manual, unlike the Canon QL series. But then there is no shut-off for the meter, so it's going to drain a bit unless one keeps it in a bag or case, or takes it out when not in use. You can see some flare in the "Sonic Bust" photo, as I was using a hood from the (SLR) 1.8/50. I'm going to try some different styles of hoods to see which one works the best, as I can't find the original.

Nice photo's Phil Lens is sharp. All my BW400CN is long gone & I find it better to develop my own. I think the last time I priced a 3 roll pack at CVS it was around $15. 😱

CVS is outrageous on film and batteries, Greg. But when they are the last place in town with BW400CN, what can one do? I bought a couple of rolls in Christiansburg the other day (at PFS Photo), and the store owner said he was surprised when his order actually got filled, but that it would be the last of it he can get. I thought of buying it all, but then I visualized some college student looking for some, and left the other three rolls behind. But my lab is now carrying Ilford FP4 Plus again!

Hope you're healing up well.

When I was running the Christiansburg route I would go by that store all the time. I always wondered what/if any films they carried. I'm sure those rolls of BW400CN (I did love that film) will be waiting for you next time by.😉 What lab carries Ilford? No one around here carries Ilford unless I get over to Raleigh. I haven't been to Roanoke in ages. BTW I'm healing up fine & am starting to get out more. I have some Arista EDU 400 in my Zorki 2s & I'm getting out & shooting that.🙂

That would be Photo USA on Colonial, across from Towers Shopping Center, Greg. They used to be on Franklin Road right before you get to 419, between Merchants Tire, and The Great 611 Steak House.

PFS is only carrying Kodak and Fuji now. But I can get darkroom chemicals there.

That's right, I remember them. I think they moved into the Ritz Camera bldg. might of been called Wolf Camera like here in NC. Well if I ever run Christiansburg I know I can stop & get chemicals. We work both Merchants Tire & Monroe Muffler on Franklin Rd.

Took the camera out again today for another test run. I'm not really sure the exposures on Auto will be any decent because when I put it back in manual and checked the meter, it was reading two to three stops lower than what I was estimating (1/100 @ f4 in slightly cloudy daylight, I was guessing f8 or f11). I think I'll just use it non-metered manual from now on.
