Well, my conversion back to film is complete. I added an M6TTL and a 35 Summicron to my existing Bessa T Heliar 101 set.
I was curious if you could tell me how my version of the Summicron stacks uo against all the others. The serial number is 2540XXX and I think it dates to the mid-70s and is the six element version.
The first images seem just great to me but it's always interesting to hear how it compares to others.

Congrats !
Sounds like you have v2. Optically identical to v3. Here are example photos:

I love my v3. Great 3d bokeh (when you google for it, you will find comparison tests on photo.net, where the bokeh is virtually indistinguishable from v4, the "Bokeh King"), but slightly more flare resistant and more contrast than v4.
Here is a recent shot of mine that shows the characteristics, nicely, IMO:
Cheers,
Roland.

renders sharp images with no distortion across the entire image plane even at f2... nice contrast but without harshness... my version 3 is about a close to being perfect optically as it comes... my canon 50/1.5LTM is my favourite - more personality

I'm using the latest ASPH one, and love the sharpness. I'm not sure this is the best example, but look through my flickr stream. The last 100+ photos are all taken with the Summicron 35mm.

Nice examples, everyone. I wonder if 6 elements is less prone to flare than 7? No matter, it's mine and a keeper.
Thanks.
Thanks.
