35mm Biogon vs Nokton 1.4... at f2

One thing to be wary of with the little Nokton is flare caused by the chrome filter thread. The shot below is an example of this (taken at f/1.4 on an R-D1). To prevent this, I plan on removing the glass from a 43mm filter and sticking it on the lens permanently. This lens more susceptible to this kind of flare than other lenses with chrome filter threads.

What speaks against an MRC filter ? :) The MC version (with filter) is quite flare proof:

Ahh didn't see that thread Roland, and didn't own my Biogon long enough to experience flare. No problems with the ZM Planar though.

An MRC filter would do the trick, but I'm generally in the "no filter" camp ;)
