Hi all.
I have the chance to buy a converted (LTM/M) 35mm 2.8 Summaron but it does not include the usual 'M' mount adapter. Does anyone know if this lens can be focused accurately with a generic CV/Leica LTM to M adapter.

Many thanks
Mark

If you mean an early M 2.8 Summaron with the M mount removed making it LTM then in theory the answer is yes but unless it is really quite cheap I'd wait for another.

The voigtlander LTM adapters are quite good. In my experience I haven't had a bad one yet. I have had bad experiences with generic adapters - most of them don't bring up the correct framelines or bring up multiple frames.

If the price is good then go for it. A non-goggled summaron is a lovely piece of glass.

Sounds like its not a bad deal....I sold my M3 version years ago for the Summicron V3 and don't regret buying the Summicron, I just regret selling the Summaron!

It all changed wind and I went with a Canon 35mm 1.8 that went for a reasonable price.... no doubt the Summaron will make it into my collection soon!
