hi there ive just got a Bessa R to replace the camera we all love to hate for its bullet proof casing and shot gun sounding shutter - the Fed III.

as i've seen listed on ehre many time the jupiter 12 35mm lens won't fit onto the bessa due to the rear element. does anyone know of any other LTM 35mm lenses avalable for a poor student?

The CV 35/2.5 comes to mind. If you could afford a Bessa R, maybe you're not too poor for one of those. The f/2 and f/1.8 Canons are expensive, as are the Summarons.

ive had a look at them, i can pick one up for about £190 in london. that would be ideal, but ive just spent £150 i dont really have on the camera (wonders of a student loan) thats why the russian enses are good for me at the moment as they are alot cheeper.

So far as I know, the J-12 is the only Soviet-made 35 mm lens. If you need to get your Bessa in use fast, why not a normal? The Industar 61 L/D is good and cheap.
